At the New Mosque

In the Mosque
I made the extra effort here and did the neck-wrap, instead of just tying my scarf under my chin like a babushka. (Although later I would see many Turkish women with their scarves done that way.) In German, bangs are called Pony. z.B. Wenn ich eine richtige muslimische Frau wäre, hätte ich bestimmt gar kein Pony. Curiously, I don't know what they call ponytails.

Really? "Pony"???? Wow, I had no idea. That's kind of random.

Actually come to think of it I think "ponytail" might be Pferdeschwanz...which is crazy literal I know, but I think I remember my host mother once commenting on my hair and using that word. Unless maybe she was just making fun of me and saying that my head looked like a horse's Arsche :P
