Road Trip: Joshua Tree

Joshua Trees

The desert looks and feels like a different planet. So long as you have plenty of water, I understand why people want to spend time there. I wonder whether these plants and animals would grow to gargantuan proportions if cultivated in more temperate climates.

Road Trip: South Dakota

Rattlesnakes!

This sign is ridiculous. What it should have said was "BEWARE! Random Cliffs and Crevices!" I'm certain that more people die from unexpected falls in that park than from snake bites.

Road Trip: Texas

Judd Foundation

We knew about the Paul Thomas Anderson film being made in Marfa TX, and since returning we've learned about the Coen Brothers as well, thanks to the newspaper of record. All hail west Texas!
